Someone tell them we could just rewatch the episode if we want recap. At this point I don't mind if they put a long fillers instead of recap if anime is approaching manga

i think it's because the manga is going to be stopped for a month because of oda's surgery and they want to keep a big distance between the anime and the manga . Still a very stupid thing to do

no its because the animators need time since there is alot of big fights and high cost animations so they are delaying to be able to make good episodes in the future

Back when pacing was good, 2 chapters gets adapted into each episode. Simply being months ahead would not allow for good pacing, it needs to be years ahead.

He's already got several health conditions from working too much including a 5 week surgery and rehab right now. Everyone was complaining about fillers so they got rid of them.

Lol Oda is quite fast with 1 chapter per week, they are others where you can be happy, if they would release 1 chapter per month.

And as it looks we get fillers after this arc.
Oda takes a break for around 5 weeks cause of his health condition, so the source will slow down.

One Piece has been good about avoiding too much filler, because they've seen it bog down many other anime, such as Naruto and Bleach with just awful content. We'll get a 3-5 episode filler arc after Wano ends, and we'll all complain about it when it gets here, wanting the anime to rush on to Egghead.

Believe me, we are going to be BEGGING for Egghead once that filler hits, because some of us know what's coming from the manga.

Now, could filler be done well? Certainly, we could use some more depth on the end of Wano from the manga. There's a PERFECT opportunity to give Zoro more of his backstory here. We still need to see him visit Ryuma's grave. There's at least 10 episodes of content the animation team could give us with Oda's input, to make cannon filler that adds to the world we have, and a perfect placement for it.

Likely won't happen though, because One Piece avoids filler. You're right, this slow pacing is getting bad, but do we really want pre-Shippuuden like filler?

A big part of why I don't recommend Naruto is because of the insane amount of filler and such. While the recapping is annoying, I think they have been overall balancing well in One Piece in each episode. I really do hate seeing same scene over and over again like with Otama red bean soup

I'd rather have hundreds of filler episodes than bad pacing on all episodes. You can just skip filler like we did Naruto, and we'll still get an pretty enjoyable experience. One Piece pacing is just terrible, and it's unskippable since it's all canon, just stretched out really badly.

no reason? massive animation of fights are comming so it takes lot of time to work on it! people are not happy when there are fillers or recap but are also not happy if the animation is poorly rushed .... just go away if you don't understand what work means !

The thing is they have the perfect opportunity coming up to use up some time. Without spoiling I'll say the ending of Wana wrapped up a tad quickly and the anime would be the perfect way to address it all properly.

Theres probably a high chance we get a filler arc after wano, because the time before more action starts isnt that long and they probably would want more time

i think they're doing a recap to give the staff more time. I am not religiously following the anime, only the manga, so whenever i see a recap ep i basically know that the next ep is going to be an epic fight.

did you see the last recap it could have been an epic recap instead they cut it poorly and inserted a bad commentary

manga is on 4-5 week break so it might be possible to catch up as long as pacing improves slightly lol (i dont mean catching up right away but in general in case anyone thinks its possible to catch up in 4-5 weeks :skull: )
